Attention Sixth Grade Parents!
Below are updates regarding our two upcoming Field Days this week.
First, it appears that the weather will be perfect for Thursday afternoon’s K-1st Grade Field Day from 12:00-2:00. So, that Field Day is still scheduled for that date/time.
Unfortunately, though, due to the rain that is predicted for Friday, we have decided to move up 2nd-3rd Grade Field Day to the morning of Thursday, March 21st from 9:30-11:30. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
For Field Day, students should wear sneakers and the color t-shirt that their teacher has chosen for their class. They should also bring a water bottle (please write the student's name on it) and sunscreen (this is optional, but recommended).
If parents plan to come for either Field Day on Thursday, please be sure to report to the Visitor Table (located at the bottom of the stairs in the front, lower parking lot) to get a visitor's pass before joining your child's class. In addition, if you choose to sign your student out following their Field Day, this will be done with the teacher back in the classroom.
Finally, 4th-6th Grade Field Day is still scheduled for next Thursday, March 28th. If any changes to that day need to be made due to weather, we will communicate that next week.
Registration for K5 for the 2024-2025 school year will take place on March 5th at MLES from 8:30-3:00. This is for students who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024. If you have any questions, please contact the front office.
Student Council Spirit Week is February 20th-23rd!
There's SNOW Place Like MLES!!!
If your child will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2024… now is the time to register them for 4K for next year! Please see our registration page for forms, information, and frequently asked questions: https://www.anderson4.org/page/4k-kindergarten-registration
REMINDER: All Anderson School District 4 schools and offices are CLOSED today (December 18) through Monday, January 1, for our Winter Break. Our staff returns on Tuesday, January 2 for professional development, and students return to school on Wednesday, January 3.
With cold/flu season upon us, many parents have asked about when they should or should not send their child to school. DHEC has created a brochure to help with making those decisions. Click the link below for more information.
