Weather Update - Regular School Schedule February 4th, 2026.
Despite some incorrect information circulating in local media, Anderson School District Four will operate on a regular schedule tomorrow.
We look forward to welcoming our students and staff and having a great day of learning. Thank you for your continued support, and we'll see our kids at school tomorrow.

Due to ongoing icy road conditions, Anderson School District 4 will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow morning, Feb 3rd.
Please be aware that school buses will not operate on roads that are unsafe for travel. At this time, we have approximately 30 roads that remain impassable.
If a bus did not travel down your road last Thursday, it is unlikely that it will be able to pick up students on that same road tomorrow morning. Safety remains our top priority, and bus routes will be adjusted accordingly. Families who live on affected roads should make alternate transportation plans if possible. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to monitor conditions and work to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Thank you for your patience and partnership.

Anderson School District Four – Operational Update
Due to icy patches on rural roads, Anderson School District Four will operate on a two-hour delay for all schools on Thursday, January 29. Buses will only operate on roads that are safe for travel.
All campuses have been prepared for the safe return of students; however, some patchy ice may remain in shaded areas on school grounds. Staff will continue to monitor conditions and take appropriate precautions throughout the day. School administrators and staff will work with students to ensure that eLearning assignments and coursework are completed and that students are supported as they transition back to campus.
The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. District personnel will continue to monitor conditions, and additional updates will be shared as needed. We appreciate the patience and support of our families as we take these precautions to ensure a safe start to the school day.

⚠️ JANUARY 26 UPDATE:
At this time, main roads are mostly safe for travel; however, many backroads remain treacherous in spots, particularly in shaded and rural areas. District leaders continue to stay in close communication with emergency preparedness officials and weather professionals as we monitor conditions throughout our communities.
As communicated last Friday, tomorrow (Tuesday, January 27) has been designated as an eLearning day. We are pleased to report that power is on at all schools, and our facilities and maintenance teams are actively working to prepare campuses and buildings for the safe return of students and staff when conditions allow.
As we move through Tuesday (Jan 27th), district leaders will continue assessing road conditions and updated forecasts in collaboration with our emergency and weather partners. We will provide updates on Tuesday should any decisions be made regarding plans for Wednesday.
Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued partnership. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority as we thoughtfully balance safety with continuity of learning.

Dear Anderson 4 Families,
Due to the anticipated winter weather conditions and continued concerns related to freezing rain, sleet, and extremely cold temperatures, Anderson School District 4 will operate on eLearning Day for Monday Jan 26th and Tuesday Jan 27th
We continue to remain in regular communication with the National Weather Service and Anderson County Emergency Management, and we have worked closely with the other Anderson County school districts in making this decision. In addition to road conditions, forecasted temperatures are expected to be extremely cold, which can impact our ability to safely operate school buses, particularly during the early morning hours.
Here are resources and support for families:
https://www.emd.andersonsheriff.org/winterstorm
We also understand that winter weather can result in power outages or connectivity issues that may impact a student’s ability to complete assignments. Families experiencing these challenges should communicate with their school as needed. Flexibility will be provided, and students will not be penalized for circumstances beyond their control.
We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and continued partnership as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. Updates regarding school operations for the remainder of the week will be communicated as conditions improve and more information becomes available.

Subject: School Closure Update for Thursday and Friday, October 3 & 4
Anderson 4 Family,
We hope you are staying safe during these challenging conditions. Due to ongoing power outages and roads that remain impassable for our buses, we have made the difficult decision to cancel school on Thursday, October 3, and Friday, October 4. There will be no eLearning on these days, as more than half of our families and staff are still without power.
In addition, please note that Monday, October 7 is a scheduled holiday, and school will remain closed. Tuesday, October 8 is a professional development day for our teachers, so there will be no classes for students on that day as well.
The following schools will remain accessible from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and complimentary food will be provided from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. We encourage community members who need a secure environment and access to charging stations for their devices to visit. Please be advised that the buildings will have power, HVAC systems, and free public Wi-Fi available for use.
